Florida A&M received the majority of the first place votes and is No. 1 by a wide margin in HBCU football with as the HBCU FCS Coaches Poll was released on Monday. The Rattlers are coming off a bye week.

Despite falling to FBS opponent UNC, North Carolina Central remains No. 2 and received one first place vote. No. 3 Tennessee State and No. 4 Jackson State each received a first place votes and the TSU Tigers edged out the JSU Tigers by one point.  Both won games and moved up significantly from last week’s poll. Morgan State dropped its game to FBS opponent Ohio, dropping to spots from last week, but rounding out the top five.

The HBCU FCS Coaches Poll is administered by BOXTOROW, and in its 16th year, is voted on by the HBCU Football Championship Subdivision coaches.
