FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW to air in Virginia, NYC

Fuquay-Varina, NC, Oct. 19, 2005 – FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW, the “Nation’s Black College Sports Talk Show” will air in the Hampton Roads/Richmond, VA area beginning Nov. 5, 2005. The show will air on WPMH 670-AM live every Saturday from 5 – 6 p.m. EST. WPMH, whose signal is in Claremont, VA, covers the entire Hampton Roads area to include Norfolk, Hampton, Virginia Beach and New Port News. The signal also reaches into the Richmond area as well.

The show will also air on WTHE, which covers New York City beginning in March of 2006. The Boxtorow Blitz, a five-minute feature which runs down scores from the previous week’s games and also incorporates live play-by-play audio will air on WTHE every Friday at 11:55 a.m. beginning October 21, 2005.

“We are very pleased to be on WPMH in the Hampton Roads and Richmond areas,” said Donal Ware, founder and CEO of DWCommunications, LLC, the parent company of the show. “We now reach our audience in the two biggest markets in Virginia. Also the CIAA and the MEAC offices are in the Hampton Roads area, as well as we are now reaching an audience at that attends or is affiliated with Hampton University, Norfolk State University, Virginia Union University and Virginia State University as well.

“Anytime you can be on in New York [city], the number one market in the nation, it is always a plus,” Ware said, referring to the fact that FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW will air on WTHE in March. “We look forward to the New York audience becoming a part of our show.”

FROM THE PRESS BOX TO PRESS ROW is hosted by Terry Banks and Lamont Germany and began airing August 20, 2005. It is the only national live call-in sports talk show in the nation, whose focus is Black college sports.
